Lego Fire Fighter

Lego Fire Fighter

Lego Fire Fighter

Christmas has come and gone and it is time to get back into work in the new year….but not before putting one of my presents together. My sister thought I needed some Lego, but I do not feel this fire fighter would have been very helpful when battling the bush fires that we have had around the Grampians in the last few days.

Regardless, thanks Jenny for the Lego!!

With the smoke filled air, a gold coloured light reflected onto the front wall of our home. Heather received a nice gift for Christmas – another Owl. This has highlighted with some interesting sunlight shining through the tree.

We have just had some very large fires and walking around the house, the sun was shining through some fairly heavy smoke which created an eerie golden colour on our front wall.

Great opportunity to take some interesting features of our home.

We are really looking forward to another trip to the Middle East in March and April 2014.

Rob and Ann Petty from Ballarat are hosting a trip through Egypt, Israel, Jordan and Greece  from the 14th March and returning on the 14th April 2014.

This itinerary has been substantially reviewed to add extra things – particularly in Egypt. Based on some local advice, it also addresses some safety concerns with the method of travel throughout Egypt.

Mitcham Reserve, Mitcham, South Australia

Mitcham Reserve Bridge

Mitcham Reserve Bridge

Mitcham Reserve was the original village green, the centre of colonial life in the Mitcham Village. Today this beautiful reserve is a popular place for picnics and events. Brownhill Creek runs through the reserve and there are sheltering trees, playground equipment, public toilets, electric barbecues, and seating.

Within the reserve is the old bridge that was originally  built over Brownhill Creek. This bridge has been restored and is excellent condition.

At a recent Family BBQ, I had a great opportunity to take a number of photos and a good walk around

Brownhill Creek is a seasonal stream that has a catchment from the Mt Lofty Ranges and flows though a valley and then makes its way through to the Patawalonga.
