Whilst sailing on the Sea of Galilee, I took some time to enjoy the beautiful scenery, the rugged landscape. Remembering that the Sea of Galilee is around 210 Metres below Sea level, the hills in the area are not that high – but just look that way!
When we visited Israel, it was in November 2011 – approaching the end of their autumn. There had not been much rain and this explains why the country looks so dry. Yet around the lake, the land is very fertile and with irrigation, the crops are very green
