The poor Pharaoh’s first pyramid was a bit of a disaster – but another one was built for him. The Red Pyramid. Very close to the Bent Pyramid, this Pyramid is in beautiful condition and also has the ability to enter into the Burial Chamber.
In the centre of the Pyramid at ground level, a small monument exists – which is the Pyramidion.

Also looking at the Pyramid, the sand build up alongside the edges of the pyramid can be easily seen.
We were advised that the day after visiting Dahshur and Saqqara, that there was a massive sand storm which would have prevented us from visiting the site.
