We were continuing our trip to the replica of the tabernacle and saw a few buses and people out of our bus window. Not sure what they were looking at, I thought I would take a shot through the bus window of the rock formation – looked pretty interesting.
It wasn’t until latter when I was looking at the map I found that they were called Solomon’s Pillars.
These stone pillars are a natural part of the cliff wall. The formation was developed as a result of erosion along cracks in the hard red sandstone. These pillars were named after ‘King Solomon’ who was the son of King David
