Jane Duff Highway Reserve – Dam

Travelling back home after doing some work at Goroke, I stopped off and looked at a small Reserve on the side of the Road running from Goroke back to Natimuk in Western Victoria. In the reserve is a monument to Jane Duff who looked after her two younger brothers for 9 days when they became lost in bush back in August 1864.

Not knowing much about the story, I did look up information on the internet and one of the better articles of the story is here. However, the highlight for me when visiting was finding the Dam when the sky was nice and blue and the afternoon sun created some great shadows and reflections.
