Getting up close and personal with lions can be a little challenging. On arrival we were given some instructions on these lions – they were quite young really and were used to being in contact with humans. Regardless, we were each given a “No” stick that we were instructed to use if needed – but there were the guides with loaded rifles ready for use if something untoward did occur.
The walk with the lions was really good – we learnt a great deal about their behaviour and their ability to climb trees.
We did get the opportunity to pat one of the lions which was really good.
