Victoria Falls Hotel
As part of the package we had for our Victoria Falls experience, we stayed at the Victoria Falls Hotel. This is a beautiful “old style” and very English Hotel. It is rated at 5 Star – but many aspects of the Hotel when we were there were a little tired.
The view from the hotel was spectacular – looking from the Flag pole are at the bottom of the walkway of the Hotel, the view looking down towards the Bridge that crosses from Zimbabwe to Zambia and the Waterfall directly behind it gave us a further appreciation of this wonderful natural wonder.
The room that we stayed in was more than comfortable.
Hamish was concerned about getting wet if he got too close to the waterfall itself, so he stayed in the room at the Hotel and enjoyed himself.
When he was in the room waiting for us to get back from dinner one evening, the staff turned down the beds and Hamish was shifted into the middle of the bed. He enjoyed himself immensely.
The Hotel staff are wonderful. They were very friendly and attended to our needs very well.
Our overall package price was very reasonable – but checking the costs on various websites for comparison purposes indicate a very high price for the rooms. So it is good to shop around or have it included as part of a package.
