From a distance, all we could see is these great big piles of reed moving in the water. It wasn’t until we actually got closer that we could see that they were boats filled with the reed being taken into the shore. It is a little easier to see on the right hand boat that not only is the pile of reed is very high, but two people are in the boat.
Again, I am fascinated with the shape of the oars and really wonder how they can move such boats with heavy loads with what looks like a bit of “3×3” timber and not even shaped as oars !!
