One of the things that I really enjoyed as we cruised the River Nile was watching the life of the River. It fascinated me the different activities, from work, play, and fishing through to the buildings and other sites on the Nile. I will be posting a series of photos of some of the people and views that we saw whilst we relaxed on our Cruise Ship “The Miriam”.
In this photo, taken in Aswan on the Nile, an elderly man was rowing a boat from the western side of the Nile – I was fascinated by the oars which appeared to be straight pieces of timber.
