The buildings and the magnificent colours that are used in various buildings makes for some interesting sites. In the picture above, it can be seen the wonderful blues and greens which are total contract to the arid sand colours that surround the little settlements that dot the banks of the Nile.
One of the most interesting things that we noted were the number of unfinished buildings with concrete pillars and masses of reinforcing rods that pop out of the concrete. It appeared that this is the way they have been for years.
But it didn’t seem to matter what the outward appearance of the home seemed to be – literally all had a satelitte dish so they can watch the soccer on the TV !!.
