Mt Wellington, also known by its Aboriginal name kunanyi, is a prominent peak standing 1,271 metres (4,170 feet) above sea level. It is located just west of Hobart, Tasmania’s capital city. The mountain is renowned for its dramatic dolerite cliffs, called the Organ Pipes. Also the sweeping panoramic views over Hobart, the Derwent estuary, Bruny Island, and deep into Tasmania’s southwest wilderness.
