Arcoota, South Australia, greeted us with a landscape so rugged and raw that we immediately felt immersed in the untamed spirit of the outback. Our adventure began as we wound along the dusty tracks from Three Creeks, keeping an eye out for wild goats and wedge-tailed eagles—Arcoota truly lives up to its reputation as a hidden gem for wilderness lovers.

Arcoota is nestled in the northern Flinders Ranges, well east of Cradock and about 330 km north of Adelaide.
