Camping at Worlds End Gorge: A Hidden Gem
A Scenic Campsite
Our recent adventure took us to Worlds End Gorge, a fantastic free campsite located off the Worlds End Highway. Nestled along the Burra Creek, this area offers great walking trails, stunning scenery, and beautiful trees, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers.
Peaceful and Quiet
Camping at Worlds End Gorge was a peaceful and quiet experience. The campsite provided a serene environment, ideal for a couple of days of relaxation. However, we did find that the trees and hills restricted the use of solar panels, so it’s something to keep in mind if you’re relying on solar power.
Popular Spot
Despite being outside of weekends or school holidays, the campsite was quite busy with other campers. It’s a popular spot, so it’s best to arrive early to secure a good spot. The friendly atmosphere and the natural beauty of the area make it easy to see why so many people choose to camp here.
A Memorable Stay
We stayed at Worlds End Gorge for just one night in October 2023, but it left a lasting impression. The combination of great scenery, walking trails, and the tranquil setting made it a memorable stop on our journey. If you’re looking for a quiet and scenic campsite, Worlds End Gorge is definitely worth a visit.
Whether you’re planning a short stay or a couple of days, this hidden gem offers a wonderful escape into nature. Just remember to arrive early and be prepared for limited solar power due to the surrounding trees and hills. Happy camping!
